If you've been using EFT for any length of time, you know that unexpected results are a regular occurrence. Core issues often arise (these are the issues that keep a symptom in place), and seemingly unrelated issues can magically resolve themselves when you are tapping for something else. Expecting the unexpected is probably a good stance to take. David Lake writes about hidden benefits and unexpected results.
Also, review my article on my client's thumb pain would not improve until relationship (emotional) issues were resolved, giving us clear evidence of the link between emotional issues and physical pain. Another good one is my friend who wanted me to help her with EFT for weight loss, and ended up losing weight as well as her taste for wine. Whatever happens is always in the client's best interest, so just be ready to be pleasantly surprised!
