Are You Honoring Yourself?

Sometimes you feel resistance to doing what you think you *should* do. While self sabotage can occur for many reasons (read chapter 10 in Lose Weight With EFT), it's always frustrating to undo your hard work.

This can come from a feeling deep inside that you aren't worthy of getting to the goal. If you know in your heart that a healthy diet, more exercise, having a difficult conversation, setting a boundary or taking more time for yourself is truly in your best interest, then you may need to learn to honor yourself more.

You don't have to confront the biggest issues right away. First take some smaller actions that honor you. What loving and nurturing activities would you like to do for yourself? It may be simply taking time out in your day to rest and recharge, spend time with your children or pets, buy flowers for no reason, or enjoy a beautiful garden.

Taking time to nurture yourself reinforces the message that you are a worthy person who deserves to have what you are wanting. Working up to it in small bits can be joyful! And you will establish the habit of honoring your own wishes.

EFT can help! Just put whatever you are resisting into the set up statement, such as:

Even though I don't take time for me, I love and accept myself.

Even though I put everyone else's needs before mine, I love and accept myself completely.

Even though I resist what I know I need, I choose to honor myself for how hard it's been.
