We all have resistance to doing what we know will help us. The easiest way to find it is to complete sentences, such as:
The problem with losing weight is ________________.
The reason I can’t lose weight is __________________.
I can’t lose weight because ______________________.
Then tap on whatever reason you come up with.
DON’T argue with yourself.
Just tap the resistance away. For example, if you complete the sentence with “I need my food fix,” tap on that (“Even though I need my food fix, I deeply and completely accept myself.”)
If you answered “I can’t break the habit – I’ve been doing it so long,” tap on that (“Even though I have been doing it so long and I can’t break the habit, I deeply and completely accept myself.”)
